Sidney Lex Felker

Sidney Lex Felker is a founding Partner of Leonard & Felker, P.L.C.  Sidney assists his clients with matters regarding wealth management and asset preservation, including formation of business entities designed for efficient ownership by family members including limited liability companies (LLCs), corporations and partnerships. His practice deals with planning for Federal Income Tax and Estate and Gift Tax, such as designing various types of trusts for tax efficiency and private foundations to facilitate a client’s charitable goals. Included in his clientele is a number of families and businesses for whom he has provided legal services since beginning his law practice in 1968, and which now include the third generation of family members.

Education & Memberships

Sidney received his B.A. degree in 1966 from the University of Arizona, with a major in accounting, and his J.D. degree in 1968 from the University of Arizona School of Law. Sidney was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1968 and is member of the following State Bar Sections: Elder Law, Probate and Trust, Real Property, and Tax.   He is a member of the Pima County Bar Association.  Sidney is admitted to practice in both the State and Federal Courts of Arizona.

Personal

Sidney was born on a small farm near the historic civil war town of Corinth, Mississippi. His family moved to Tucson in 1954 where he attended local schools, elementary through his graduation from the University of Arizona School of Law.  Sidney and Dianne, an Ohio girl, have four children all raised in Tucson, and eight grandchildren. Sidney enjoys spending time with his wife, especially traveling together, he also enjoys time with his grandchildren, especially if it involves history, visiting museums, watching National Geographic programs – basically anything educational!
